Icons of jazz music are featured on a silk scarf by Hermes that is raising money to rebuild a park in New Orleans.
The scarf features images of trombonist Kid Ory, the orchestra of the Tin Roof Café, horn player King Olivier, drummer Zutty Singleton and a large drum of the Original Creole Jazz Band from 1923, among others. It’s offered in three color combinations: orange with black, black with blue and white with black.
Hermes first offered this scarf in 1996 to pay homage to the birthplace of jazz. The French luxury bring is donating ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of each scarf to the New Orleans City Park Carousel Gardens Restoration project.
