Walking regularly can strengthen your bones, tone your muscles, and trim your waist. It also may reduce your risk of some cancers, and lower your risk of depression.

Check out this advice from Christy.
No need for the monthly fee to walk the treadmill at a local gym.

Go for free, grab a friend or co-worker and take a quick 15 minute walk around the parking lot at work or nearest park.

You would be surprise how quick it goes when you’re just talking with a friend, and 15 minutes a day can really keep the weight off and tone the hips, and butt.
She’s in her late 50’s and wanted one to listen to music during her daily workout. I’m in my early 30’s and have never bought one until now.

I picked up a Zen Nano at the Discovery Channel Store. (Click the picture to go to their site.) It was very small, pink, had headphones, software and said it was 1 Gb. It turns out that it was a competitor to the IPOD. It was fairly easy to use, had a FM radio, could play all MP3 files, and it had a microphone to record 15 minutes of voice messages. So it looks like I did ok on my first purchase.
It’s called Walk Away the Pounds. I like it, because it’s walking in place to music and you don’t have to learn any hard dance moves.

When starting a new exercise program, remember to start slow, and by all means stop the tape/DVD when you're out of breath and can’t go anymore. Just fast forward to the end and do the stretching part, so you don’t cramp up. Give it a try a couple of times per week, and in no time you’ll be able to make it to the end.

Start without weight balls and when you have the routine down, order your weight balls.
